Jeff moved to Oshkosh in March of 2017 to attend sober living. Right away, he spent a lot of his time at Solutions going to meetings and getting connected to people in the recovery community. He found new friends and a new sense of purpose. He began to help others in the community. Going to events and spending a lot of his holidays at the club, Solutions started to feel like home. For the first time in a long time, Jeff felt like he was a part of something bigger than himself. Because this feeling was so special to him, he started volunteering at Solutions and is now the Sober Living Coordinator of the men’s sober living facility. He is considered the loud one at the club- always laughing and joking and excited to be there.

For a long time, John went throughout life not knowing there was a way out of suffering. The disease of addiction is powerful and he believed you cannot get through it alone. John’s journey of recovery started in 2018, as he went through extensive treatment to get on the other side. Sober living was a huge part in John’s recovery early on. Not only did it help him get connected to people within the community, it helped him get connected with himself. His passion today is to help those like him get to that other side.
