Position Overview
· Ensures that each guest receives outstanding service by providing a friendly, welcoming, and safe environment which includes greeting and acknowledging all guests (parent/guardian as well as children), maintaining outstanding standards, solid service knowledge, and all other aspects of guest service
· Ensures all visitors are properly registered by a parent/guardian
· Maintains security by properly following check-in/out guidelines with all childcare visitors as well as all parents/guardians
· Actively engages in and supervises appropriate activities (i.e., coloring, playing games, working on craft projects, reading, etc.) with all children during their visit
· Routinely cleans and sanitizes all toys and childcare per company-defined standards
· Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
Qualifications
· Cheerful, friendly personality
· Ability to build a rapport with children with varying personality types
· Good problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
· Patience and empathy
· Organization and time management skills to multitasking abilities.
· Familiarity with specialized childcare best practices, including infant care and care for children with special needs or disabilities
· Successful completion of a caregiver background check
Experience Requirements: One of the following
· previous volunteer or personal experience caring for children, such as watching after siblings or younger family members and neighbors
· unpaid experience babysitting or assisting with supervised activities for children as part of a community service program or involvement with a religious organization.
· previous professional experience as a Babysitter or Nanny.
· Other experience may include working as a Child Care Worker, Camp Counselor, Sports Coach, Teacher, or Tutor.
